Linda Weintraub


Linda Weintraub is writing the first college eco-art text books, Avant-Guardians: Textlets in Art and Ecology. Weintraub founded Art Now Publications in order to produce these books in an innovative, sustainable manner. The intersection between ecology and art entered Weintarub's professional activities in 1983 when she curated an exhibition entitled In Search of the Picturesque: Nineteenth Century Images of Industry along the Hudson. Weintraub previously wrote In The Making: Creative Options for Contemporary Art (2003) and Art on the Edge and Over: Searching for Art's Meaning in Contemporary Society (1995). She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University and lectures frequently on contemporary art and its intersection with ecology.
