REDUCE ENERGY USE
- Turn off electronics after use
- Unplug chargers after use
- Walk, bike or ride the bus
- Replace regular light bulbs with complact fluorescent light bulbs
- Turn off lights and use natural lighting
- Buy local produce and products
- Turn heat or AC down when nobody is home
- On hot days close blinds to keep the heat out
REDUCE WATER USE
- Take shorter showers
- Turn water off while brushing teeth
- Set appropriate load size for laundry
- Use garbage disposal sparingly
- Keep a pitcher of water in your refridgerator for cold water
- Turn water off while scrubbing dishes
- Use the same glass all day
REDUCE WASTE
- Use resuable water bottles and mugs
- Take reusable bags shopping
- Use a cloth napkin and save 350 paper napkins a year
- Use digital files to reduce paper use
- When printing, reduce font size, spacing and margins to save paper
- Buy and sell used items at thrift stores or online at Freecylce and Craigslists
- Buy recycled items
