Vice Provost for Student Success
The Vice Provost for Student Success, with 20 departments and offices, over 900 employees and an additional 1700 student employees, is a comprehensive student services organization at the University of Kansas. They are taking steps towards becoming a more sustainable office:
- Placing recycling containers at all desks and participating in the Environmental Stewardship/Housekeeping collection program. Staff are also encouraged to recycle bottles and cans in recycling bins maintained by student office assistants.
- Using recycled paper in printers and copiers. Several staff also save paper from misprints, etc. to be re-fed into their printers on the "clean" side.
- Encouraging the use of their own coffee mugs and cups/reusable water bottles for coffee and water rather than using disposable cups.
- Electronically archiving documents and e-mails rather than printing and keeping hard copy files.
